Repulse Bay

 

Repulse Bay is cloaked in history, originally a location where Pirates traded with mainland China.  It is now one of the most desirable places to live & visit in Hong Kong. Shek O

 

Shek O , a beach side fishing village literally meaning “rocky bay” is one of the highest graded and ‘sandiest’ beaches in Hong Kong. Given it’s isolated location it remains rustic and tranquil both of which add to the areas main attractions. It is becoming a popular weekend and holiday destination, offering a public barbecue area and many restaurants. The “rocky bay” is also an extremely favourable destination for the explorers and hikers of Hong Kong with a network of caves and routes to explore.

Lamma Island

Lamma Island is a popular weekend getaway because of its hiking trails, multicultural shops and cafes, and renowned seafood dining.

Those wishing to indulge in the latter will usually head to the old fishing village of Sok Kwu Wan. Here, a row of restaurants, perched above the bay on stilts, offer diners excellent seafood served with pleasant alfresco dining and sea views. Fresh chilli crab, garlic prawns, deep-fried squid and steamed fish with ginger and spring onions are all firm favourites.Lamma has more beaches than you can shake a stick at, you just have to find them. There is of course the pleasantly sandy Main Beach at Hung Shing Ye which is well provided for with facilities

Po Toi Island


A few kilometres southeast of Hong Kong Island, Po Toi has long been a popular destination for junk-goers, who like to drop anchor and take a dip in the sheltered main cove. The island is famous for its rock carvings and granite headland where cliffs drop away to the South China Sea.Its also a good place for seafood lunches. 

Cheung Chau Island

 
There are two main beaches on Cheung Chau, Tung Wan Beach and Kwun Yam Beach. Although they are not as big as the well-known beaches along the Hong Kong Island coast, they do have their own unique qualities. Kwun Yam Beach is a beautiful fine white sand beach situated on the east coast of Cheung Chau. The water quality is pristine and it is classified as a Grade 1 beach. It provides many water sports facilities, particularly for windsurfing fanatics, and is a particularly good location to enjoy the extra actives.

Clear Water Bay

 

Clear water bay Sai Kung is famous for its beautiful and popular beaches. Located at the Clear Water Bay Peninsula, the Clear Water Bay First Beach is famous for its good water quality and beautiful scenery. 

Bluff Island

 

Bluff Island (Sha Tong Hau Shan), or Ung Kong Chau, lies west of Basalt Island and south of Town Island (Fo Tau Fan Chau). In the southern corner of this small island you can find one of the four biggest sea caves in our eastern waters ¾ Sha Tong Hau Cave.

Nam Fung Wan (Millionaire's Beach)


Pristine waters are the big attraction of this popular junk destination in Sai Kung Country Park. It’s great for snorkelling, while adventure seekers can explore the freshwater lagoons and hidden coves. 

Tai Long Wan


Without doubt Hong Kong’s most spectacular beach, Tai Long Wan, on the east coast of the Sai Kung Peninsula, is the place for a great escape. There are four beaches in the bay – Sai Wan (West Bay), Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan (Big Bay) and Tung Wan (East Bay) – and all have white sand and clear blue waters. 

Long Ke Wan

 

located at east Sai Kung and facing the South China Sea, is no doubt the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong. Its silky white sand and crystal clear water creates a perfect spot for peace seeking hikers. Surrounded by a cape called Tsang Pang Kok and two hills called Cheung Ngam Teng and Biu Tsim Kok, the beach is an official campsite designated by the government and was selected as the “Hong Kong Best 10 Scenic Sites“. Most travel magazines compare Long Ke Wang with Maldives.
